Giving Voice 2024

A Harvest of Voices

Funds raised will benefit our youth, outreach, and tuition assistance programs.

Why give?

We know you have a lot of choices when it comes to donating, and that there are many worthy organizations doing good work in our community! Thank you for considering a donation to WWf(a)C.  We promise to be responsible stewards of both your donation and your trust. The purpose of this campaign is to raise funds so we can continue impacting the lives of individuals in the Bloomington community and beyond. We are dedicated to providing carefully-held spaces for adults and youth from all backgrounds to discover and express their authentic voice through community writing practice.

Where your dollars will go…

Your support for our programming matters. Large or small, your donation will help us…

  • Provide tuition assistance to participants of all genders in our youth and adult programs.
  • Fund our outreach programs in the Monroe County Correctional Center, Stone Belt, and with youth organizations to help them continue growing.
  • Heat our building, share our message, print our agendas, and compensate our facilitators.
  • Say “yes” when an individual or organization seeks to connect to the deeper part of themselves, to others, and in so doing, contribute in myriad ways to making a better world.

Suggested donation levels

  • Covers one month’s rent at our downtown space, lovingly called “New Wings” (we lease from Middle Way House – a non-profit that supports domestic violence survivors – so it is imperative that we meet our obligation to them in these challenging times).
  • Provides a scholarship for a woman to participate in our next Conscious Feminine Leadership Training (it is vital to our mission that this be available to women across the socio-economic spectrum.)
  • Makes 10 community outreach sessions possible (we partner with Stone Belt, New Leaf New Life, The Academy of Science and Entrepreneurship, Stepping Stones, Courage to Change, Boys and Girls Clubs, and others)

  • Supports a scholarship in our young women’s leadership program to an a young person with economic barriers.

  • Covers tuition assistance for a semester-long writing class for one individual.

  • Will support one youth to attend our week-long summer camp.

  • Will cover the cost of supplies for our community outreach programs for individuals who are currently incarcerated in the Monroe County jail.

A donation of any amount makes a difference…many small donations add up to make a large impact. We are very grateful for your support!
